By creating an account or using GhostPen, you affirm that you are at least 13 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

GhostPen provides an AI-powered text humanization service designed to optimize text expression to better match human writing patterns. The service helps users refine AI-generated or existing content to improve naturalness and readability.

3.User Responsibilities

3.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use GhostPen in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not:

  • Use the service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
  • Violate academic integrity policies or institutional rules
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or compromise the service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the service to generate spam, misinformation, or harmful content

3.2 Academic Integrity

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

5.Subscription and Payments

5.1 Pricing

GhostPen offers various subscription plans and one-time purchase options. All prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change with notice.

5.2 Free Trial

New users receive 5,000 words upon registration for free. This is a one-time offer per user.

5.3 Subscriptions

For monthly subscriptions:

  • Words reset at the beginning of each billing cycle
  • Unused words do not carry over to the next month
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

5.4 Refunds

Fair Use Policy for Refunds: To prevent abuse of our 7-day money-back guarantee, full refunds are not available if you have utilized more than 20% of your purchased credit allocation. GhostPen reserves the right to deny refund requests that violate this policy.

6.Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you submit to GhostPen. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service.

6.2 Our Content

All intellectual property rights in the GhostPen service, including software, algorithms, design, and branding, are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

7.Data and Privacy

Your use of GhostPen is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not store the text you process for humanization. User input and output text are processed in real-time and are not saved to our databases.

8.Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 Service Availability

GhostPen is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8.2 No Guarantee of Detection Bypass

While GhostPen is optimized to help text match human writing patterns, we cannot guarantee that processed text will pass any specific AI detection tool (e.g., Turnitin, GPTZero). Detection algorithms are constantly evolving, and results may vary.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GhostPen and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

8.4 Quality Assurance & Support

If the generated content does not meet your expectations or fails specific AI detection, please email us screenshots of the detection report (e.g., from Turnitin or GPTZero) to support@getghostpen.com. We are committed to quality and will review your case to assist with improvements or manual adjustments.

9.Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

10.Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in the United States.
